French Polynesia
At this time of year, the weather is the winter Austral, with an average rainfall and an average temperature of 27 degrees and a water temperature of 26 °.
There is no specific vaccine required to do before traveling to Polynesia.
The time difference is – 12:00 in summer, and – 11:00 in winter, by contribution to France.
Regarding payment, you can withdraw from the Pacific Francs in the dispensers, but beware, some types of cards do not work in the local distributors, failing agreement with your bank. Please, check with your bank.

Organization of the 39th Orthopaedic Overseas Meeting, in Polynesia from 2019, April 01st to 05th
The official organizing agency of the congress logistics is Meeting Outremer.
The congress will take place in 2 different places, as follows:
- April Monday 01st and Tuesday 02nd, in Papeete; at the INTERCONTINENTAL hotel.
- April Wednesday 03rd to 05th in Moorea; at the HILTON hotel.
All the journeys and stays proposed by Meeting Outremer agency include all the logistic services, and transfer allowing the smooth running of the congress; benefit for the attendees booking their stay with Meeting Outremer.
Attendees remain free to organize their stay on their own.
On the other hand, we remind attendees who have made the choice to travel on their own; that they will not be able to benefit from the services implemented by the organizing agency: Meeting Outremer.
They will have to plan on their side:

In any case, Meeting Outremer will not assume, and can not be held responsible for problems or logistical difficulties related to another organization.
As such, we remind you that the congress registration fees are totally separate from the travel part.
Registration fees include: registration at the convention, the conference bag and documents, and access to the congress room.
Reservations
We negotiated the booking conditions and prices dedicated to the organization of the congress, with some hotels spread across Polynesia. We invite you to give us your requests to present you a quote for your stay.
We remind you that the period March / April, corresponding to a high tourist season period in Polynesia, and to ensure the availability of stay, please make your reservation as soon as possible.
Some tourist products such as cruises Paul Gauguin, are prized; and there is hardly any availability for this period. Remember to contact us urgently to make reservations.

FORMALITIES AND INFORMATION
Formalities : To travel to Polynesia, you need a valid passport at least 6 months after your return date in France. Warning due to stopover in the US, your passport must meet US standards (biometric passport). Children must necessarily possess their own passport.
Information on flights to Polynesia: In Polynesia, the international airport is Tahiti. We inform you that the scheduled airlines on Polynesia: Air France, Air Tahiti Nui, French Bee, and United; from Paris, necessarily carry a stopover in the United States before joining Tahiti.
The passengers before landing in the US, are required to complete the ESTA procedure, at least 2 weeks prior to departure, on the following website:
